NASCAR Profile: Paul Menard

Paul Menard started his racing the career the same way many successful NASCAR drivers have -- racing karts at the age of 8. He took an unusual detour, though, at 15 when he started ice racing in his home state of Wisconsin. A different path than most, for sure, but Menard certainly excelled at it, winning 10 international Ice Racing Association events.

Eventually Menard heard the call of warm weather and big money and joined NASCAR’s Nationwide Series in 2003.

Joey Logano began racing on the Quarter Midget Circuit at age 7. He won the Quarter Midget Grand National Championship that year. And the next. And the next. He then moved on to Bandalero, where he won another championship. Then Legends and another championship.
